Editorial policy

The editorial policy of the journal Pedagogical Measurements  is grounded in the principles of information openness, scientificity and accessibility of author's publications.

 

Free access policy

The archive of journal issues, information about the journal and documentation regulating the main issues and processes of its preparation and publication are posted on the website in three languages (Kazakh, Russian and English), in open access, readers are not charged for access to the journal and information about it.

The articles published in the journal are registered in the CrossRef database, each of them is assigned DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and MRSTI (international rubricator of scientific and technical information) to facilitate access for the international scientific community and to ensure proper citation.

 

Editorial board

The editorial board consists of leading Kazakhstani and foreign scientists and experts who have publications in the international databases Web of Science or Scopus in the thematic areas of the journal.

The composition of the editorial board is indicated on the website of the journal.

 

Periodicity, language of publication

The journal is published quarterly, with four issues per year. Articles in Kazakh, Russian or English languages are accepted for publication. In this case, information about the authors, abstracts, keywords are published in all three languages for each article. Lists of used sources are published in the original language, as well as in Latin transliteration (in articles in Kazakh and Russian).

 

Terms of confidentiality

The information about the authors is published in each issue of the journal in three languages: full name, city, country, place of work (organization and structural unit), position or status (doctoral student, candidate), academic degree and title (if any).

Also, in accordance with international practice, correspondence data for each article (for author teams - one of the co-authors) should be provided: email and ORCID identifier. In the absence of ORCID, the corresponding author should obtain this identifier by registering at https://orcid.org/.

Other information (phone number, address, etc.), indicated by the authors when submitting an article to the journal, is available only to the members of the editorial board and the staff of the National Testing Center who work directly with the received manuscripts and assemble the journal issues, and is not subject to publication and disclosure to third parties.

In addition, to ensure the objectivity and quality of the article selection process, the journal has a two-way blind review policy. This means that the reviewers are not informed about the authors and the authors are not informed about the reviewers.

Published materials do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board reserves the right to select quality articles and reject unsuitable articles without explaining the reasons, and is not responsible for the accuracy of the content of the articles and information provided by the authors.

                                                             

Acceptance of articles

The journal accepts manuscripts throughout the year, but due to the use of double-blind reviewing, there is no guarantee that every article submitted for consideration will be published. If reviewers provide negative conclusions or comments, the author will be notified, and the article will be withdrawn from consideration or held until the author with the addresses the comments.

If a decision is made to publish an article, the editorial office sends the corresponding notification to the author (authors), after which bibliographic information about the article is placed in the “Articles in Press” section, indicating the date of receipt of the article by the editorial office, the date of approval of the article for publication and the date of publication (the date of inclusion of the article in the “In Press” section is considered the date of publication).

After the completion of production work on the formation, editing and layout of the next issue of the journal, the article is placed on the website in PDF format, and the bibliographic data about it with a link to the PDF file are moved from the “Articles in Press” section to the section with the corresponding number in the archive of issues of the journal.

Publication in the journal is subject to a publication fee.
